The real tax policy website is a project of Real Tax Policy, Inc. a nonprofit corporation based in Washington, DC founded in 2009. Its purpose is to promote nonpartisan discussion of current issues in legislative, regulatory, and judicial tax policy. It’s main project is the RTP Breakfast Club, a bipartisan group of former congressional and executive branch tax staff.  The Breakfast Club meets regularly to hear from current tax staff and Treasury tax officials.

Access to the member areas of this site is limited to registered users

There are two levels of membership on this site:

Tax Staff – – this membership category is for former Congressional and Administration tax staff.  It provides access to the website, but participation in the Breakfast Club is not required.  Registered users must be approved by a site administrator.

Breakfast Club – –  this a higher level of membership is for former tax staff that includes access to other areas of the website and regular Breakfast Club events.  There is an annual dues requirement.
